Mob Over Miami Book To Become Film

At 28 years old Chris Paciello was the man on South Beach. In the late 90's he ran Liquid Bar, Joia restaurant and Bar Room. Then to the surprise of everyone, his Miami dream world unraveled with an arrest, racketeering charges and murder charges. One South Beach publicist who worked with Paciello told the Village Voice, "If Paciello did everything the government says he did, then he deserves an Oscar." He never got an Oscar but New York Daily News police bureau chief, Michele McPhee did write about the fascinating story in a book titled "Mob Over Miami."

Now the popular crime story is being turned into a movie titled "Unmade Man," according to the South Florida Business Journal. You can read more about "Unmade Man" at New York Metro Online and check out a fantastic interview with "Mob Over Miami" author in South Beach Magazine.

As if that weren't bad enough, I spotted announcements for casting of another Cunanan flick (even more low budget than its predecessors) that with any luck will get sidelined due to lack of financial backing before they start day one of filming.
