Teacups Not So Tiny

For a while it seemed as though everyone was following the lead of Brittany Spears (until she traded dog for baby), Paris Hilton and all the other teeny bopper idols who have made their pups seem as though they were simply another part of a purse collection. Never the less, tons of teacups were getting loving owners and great homes. However, some people in Broward may have gotten more dog than they had asked for.
Under the Florida State Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices act, the owners of Wizards of Claws in Broward are getting sued for lying about the pedigree of the dogs they sold. The state began to look into the pet shop, which specializes in teacups, after receiving a complaint from a customer. The store claimed the dogs were registered with the American Kennel Society in order to charge more, but was actually purchasing some of the dogs off of Internet auctions. The investigators have sworn statements from about 20 owners of dogs that were misrepresented. The owners say that their pets grew to larger sizes than promised and/or are more prone to illness.
