Restaurant Review: Bond Street
Nobu gets all the hype when it comes to Sushi on Miami Beach, but Bond Street deserves some praise. We made a reservation for six and reduced it to four; requested a table change and changed an order, all requests were accommodated without question. It is not Nobu, but several selections come in a close second and the prices coupled with the ambiance make for a perfect start to an evening out on the beach. The crispy grouper fingers and sesame crusted shrimp are must have hot appetizer selections. The lobster tempura, skewers and several of the standard sushi rolls (spicy tuna and eel) were palatable, but small and not spectacular. The scallop and asparagus and salmon and avocado rolls were exceptional alternatives. Sake and drink prices were a refreshing break from the often overpriced beverages found in most Miami Beach restaurants. Bond Street is small and so are the rolls but this is a reservation you will not be sorry you made.
