Saving Cats and Dogs

firefighter-pets.jpg

Miami-Dade firefighters now have the tools not only to save the lives of people, but their pets as well. No, we aren't talking about a sturdy ladder to get old whiskers down from that palm tree. The Miami-Dade Fire Department has gotten new oxygen masks designed for animals that have been in a smoky situation and may be suffering from smoke inhalation. The masks are for dogs and cats and can be fit over their noses and mouths. They come in three different sizes.
