Think you have what it takes to be a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins? Well now is your chance. Preliminary auditions will be held on April 8 at Dolphins stadium (drive through gate four and then take the elevator to the Club Level on the second floor. Participants must be a high school graduate and have turned 18-years-old by August 2006. If selected, cheerleaders must live in the South Florida area or must have access to transportation.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and auditions at 9 a.m. Applicants can pre-register by visiting the Miami Dolphins Website. A photo of you must be attached to the application.

According to the Website, applicants should wear one-piece leotard (no thongs) or crop/half top with trunks (bathing suit style bottoms), nude/flesh colored tights or panty hose and dance shoes (sneakers, jazz shoes, character shoes. No dance pants, warm-ups or shorts should be worn. The site also suggests that you style your hair in a fashionable manner and "think glamorous!” You will be judged on poise, smile, personality, energy, figure and dance ability. The auditions will run throughout the entire day so bring something to eat.

If you could use a little cheerleading refresher, there are still a few prep classes available before audition day for a fee of $20 per class.
