Wilma: Hurricane Party

As Hurricane Wilma takes her aim at South Florida residents in and around the area have a few choices for themselves. They can stay home and hope for the best. They can head to a shelter, or they can have a Hurricane party. With no work or school tomorrow for most of Miami, residents turned to their only alternative for fun.

So what makes a good Hurricane party? Well, you have to have friends, and plenty of them. Everyone has to show up with the premise that this thing will go on until the Hurricane leaves. So whether you decide to enjoy a few beverages, or your party is a little lower key with some soft music and some fun games, you just have to be into it.

Whatever your tastes, make sure your hurricane party if fun for everyone, and above all, make sure you all stay safe. Keep your self informed with Hurricane updates from the TV or radio, or continue to check back in with Miamist, because we will be here through the entire storm.
