How's this for an afterschool special? Yesterday, Miami-Dade firefighters saved six kittens and two cats from a burning house fire in Sweetwater, oxygen masks and all. No persons were injured the blaze, which was contained to the kitchen and quickly extinguished by the fire department. Our soaked feline friends, with oxygen masks over their whiskers, were transported to the hospital via ambulance and are said to be resting comfortably. This just warms the Miamist's heart.
