Some Hurricane Suggestions
Water - at least 1 gallon daily per person for 3 to 7 days
- fill your bathtub with water so that toilets can be flushed during the storm
Food - at least enough for 3 to 7 days
— non-perishable packaged or canned food / juices
— snack foods
— non-electric can opener
— cooking tools
— paper plates / plastic utensils
First Aid Kit / Medicines / Prescription Drugs
Toiletries / Hygiene items / Moisture wipes
Dry Ice - to help keep perishables cold
Flashlight / Batteries, Cash
Radio - Battery operated radio
Toys, Books and Games
Place all Important documents - insurance, medical records, bank account numbers, Social Security card, etc. - in a waterproof container or water-tight resealable plastic bag
Tools - keep a set with you during the storm
Vehicle fuel tanks filled
REMEMBER: DO NOT OPERATE A GENERATOR INSIDE YOUR HOME!
